Software engineer from Vizianagaram drowns in U.S. river on his birthday

Singireddy Sai Krishna, 29, a software engineer from Piridi village in Bobbili of Vizianagaram district, drowned in the Meramec river at Meramec State Park in Sullivan, Missouri in the United States on Saturday (April 11, 2026).

Mr. Sai Krishna had gone to the river with four friends to celebrate his birthday. He entered the water at the campground’s boat ramp to swim, began to struggle and went underwater, local media reported, citing the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
