Son, 2 others held for killing man for job

Dhanbad: A man, along with two accomplices, was arrested for allegedly killing his father to secure a job on compassionate grounds in the Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).On June 20, an unidentified body was found lying beside a bush along the Chitahi–Barora PCC road under Barora police station limits.

The deceased was later identified as BCCL employee Tuleshwar Nonia.Addressing media on Thursday, rural SP S Mohammad Yakoob said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed on the direction of the senior superintendent of police to crack the case. “During the probe, a conspiracy emerged involving the victim’s son Vijay Nonia, who allegedly planned the murder to get a job in BCCL,” he said.Police said Vijay had allegedly hired two men — Akhilesh Mallah (33) and Amit Kumar Singh (36) — and promised them Rs 10 lakh to execute the crime.

During interrogation, all three accused confessed to their involvement, the SP added.Based on their disclosures, police recovered crucial evidence, including the blood-stained stone used in the crime, a motorcycle, blood-stained clothes, footwear, a towel and mobile phones.“All three accused — Vijay Nonia (34), Akhilesh Mallah and Amit Kumar Singh — have been arrested. Further investigation is underway to ascertain if more people were involved,” Yakoob said.
