Son of JD(U) functionary found dead in Nalanda

In a troubling incident in Biharsharif, a 25-year-old man, the son of a prominent JD(U) figure, has been found dead in a nearby field. His family believes there are sinister circumstances surrounding his untimely demise, pointing towards potential foul play instead of a natural cause.

Biharsharif: Son of a senior JD(U) functionary was found dead in a field near his residence in Babhan Bigha village under Barbigha police station area on Friday.The deceased was identified as Sanjeet Kumar (25), son of Suresh Prasad Singh.According to his father, Sanjeet had left home for a walk around 6.30am. Around 11am, family members were informed by villagers that his body had been found in a nearby field, barely a few hundred metres from his house. Suspecting foul play, Singh alleged that his son was murdered and he did not die a natural death.Upon receiving information, Barbigha SHO Gaurav Kumar, along with DSP Dr Rakesh Kumar, reached the spot and started an investigation.

The officers spoke to the deceased’s family members as well as local residents who first spotted the body.A forensic science laboratory (FSL) team was also called in to assist in the investigation.Local sources said Suresh is involved in renting out land for cattle fairs in the area.Sheikhpura SP Baliram Chaudhry said a thorough investigation is underway, examining all possible angles. He added that the exact cause of death would be ascertained after the autopsy report is received.The SHO said the body has been sent to Sheikhpura Sadar Hospital for the postmortem.
