Spain’s golden era shows no signs of slowing down.

La Roja retained their Women’s Nations League title with a commanding 3–0 win over Germany in Madrid on Tuesday, sealing the trophy after a tense goalless first leg in Kaiserslautern.

A record 55,843 fans packed Atlético Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium– Spain’s biggest-ever home crowd for a women’s match — and they were treated to a second-half surge led by Claudia Pina, who bagged a brilliant brace.

Vicky Lopez, just 18, curled in the second to cap a dream night for Sonia Bermúdez, who lifts her first trophy since taking charge.

Spain were without injured Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati, but you wouldn’t have known it.

After relying on goalkeeper Cata Coll to survive Germany’s pressure in the first leg, Spain completely flipped the script at home. Esther González flashed an early chance wide, Alexia Putellas forced a smart stop from Ann-Katrin Berger, and Mariona Caldentey twice came close to breaking the deadlock.

Germany’s best opening of the first half came just before the whistle, when Nicole Anyomi dragged a golden chance wide. Christian Wück’s side came out sharp after the restart, but Spain struck first — and decisively.

In the 61st minute, Pina exchanged passes with Caldentey and rifled a low effort from the edge of the box that Berger got a hand to but couldn’t keep out. Seven minutes later, López cut inside and curled a stunning shot beyond the German keeper for 2–0.

Pina then put the exclamation point on Spain’s triumph, winning the ball near midfield, driving forward, and unleashing a spectacular strike into the top corner.

“It was a great game from the whole team," Pina told TVE. “(The atmosphere was) crazy… without the fans this wouldn’t have been possible."

There was also a special moment for Jenni Hermoso, who came off the bench to huge applause.

“My happy face says it all," she said. “To win in my city, with my people… it’s great."
