The Delhi Assembly received another threatening email on Monday (April 13, 2026), prompting Speaker Vijender Gupta to take cognisance of a series of such messages and write to Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, seeking a speedy investigation and enhanced security arrangements.

Monday’s (April 13, 2026) email was the fifth such threat received by the Assembly, including those addressed to the Speaker. Three threatening emails were received consecutively during the Budget session from March 23 to 25, all of which were later found to be hoaxes after police checks. The latest threat comes days after a 37-year-old man forcefully drove into the Assembly premises, leading to a law and order scare.
