During the Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path, India showed its journey of development, rich cultural diversity and military strength, featuring newly-raised units and mock-ups of key weapon systems used in Operation Sindoor.
The overarching theme of this year’s event is 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’.
“अलग-अलग रास्ते हैं, लेकिन पहचान एक है। गर्व भी है, आभार भी – इस देश के लिए जो हमें यह पहचान देता है (There are different paths, but the identity is one. There is pride and there is gratitude, for this nation that gives us this identity)," Bhaker tweeted on Monday afternoon.
“We have one Constitution. We should also have just one identity – INDIAN! #HappyRepublicDay," Indian men’s cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir tweeted on Monday morning.

“Congratulations @savitahockey this will inspire many young girls! Also happy Republic Day India 🇮🇳 #RepublicDay," Marijne tweeted on Monday.
The Indian diaspora dressed in vibrant traditional dresses celebrated the Republic Day at the nation’s missions abroad, where the national tri-colour was unfurled.
A thematic exhibition charted the history of Vande Mataram, emphasising its significant role in uniting the country during India’s freedom struggle.
