State’s overall situation improving, says Khemchand

Imphal: CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Monday said Manipur’s overall situation has shown significant improvement.Khemchand’s remarks came after a meeting with the director general of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera at the secretariat in Imphal.The DG Assam Rifles called on the CM and held a detailed discussion on the prevailing law and order and security situation in the state.“It is encouraging to note that, through the concerted efforts of the govt and security agencies, the overall situation has shown significant improvement,” Khemchand said in his Facebook post after the meeting. He emphasised that ensuring the protection, safety and peaceful coexistence of all communities remains the govt’s foremost priority.
