Statue of V.L. Dutt unveiled at Siddhartha Academy, remembered for educational legacy

Chairperson and Managing Director of The KCP Ltd. V.L. Indira Dutt on Thursday unveiled a statue of former Chairman of the KCP Limited, the late Dr. Velagapudi Lakshman Dutt, at Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Deemed-to-be University).

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the family for remembering Dr. Dutt and his valuable contributions towards the cause of education and society, Ms. Indira said he was meritorious, innovative and multifaceted.

Joint Managing Director of The KCP Ltd. V. Kavitha said good work done in the field of education is the biggest gift as it has a transformative impact on individuals and society.

Technical Director of The KCP Ltd. Chitturi Ravi said it was heartwarming to see Siddhartha institutions producing business heads and corporate professionals.

Former MP Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao lauded Dr. Dutt’s philanthropic works and also complimented Ms. Indira for her role in the World Telugu Federation, in addition to her own educational and social service initiatives.

Secretary of Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education P. Lakshmana Rao, president M. Rajayya, Vice-Chancellor of Siddhartha University P. Venkateswara Rao also spoke on the occasion.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the institution A.V. Ratna Prasad, Director B. Panduranga Rao, Registrar M. Ravichand, Dean of V.R. Siddhartha School of Engineering D. Venkata Rao, other Deans, heads of the department and faculty were present.
