Stick to route chart, Palamu admin tells Ram Navami organising committees

Daltonganj: Palamu administration has asked the Ram Navami committees here to stick to the route chart and not divert from their routes. Stating that deviating from the routes could lead to law and order issues, the administrative officials said violators would face legal action. The directive was issued by deputy commissioner Sameera S at the district peace committee meeting here late on Wednesday.“Unannounced procession without any intimation to the police must be avoided. Abrupt processions could lead to problems,” Palamu SP Reeshma Ramesan said. She added, "Paton police were in for a surprise when a Mangalwari Juloos was found in the streets. There was no intimation of it in advance to the local police.

This abruptness in taking out procession must be avoided.”Ramesan also advised committees to make Ram Navami flags on wooden pole/sticks and avoid any metal as they pose risk of electrocution after coming in contact with overhead electrical wires. The apex body of the Ram Navami celebrations in the district, Mahavir Nav Yuvak Dal, on the other hand said they will fly drones for an aerial surveillance of the procession. The outfit’s chief Mangal Singh said that these will be in addition to the ones deployed by the administration.
