Nashik: Stolen goods recovered by the police of worth over Rs1.6 crore was handed over to their rightful owners at the ‘Muddemal Return’ programme organised jointly by the Ambad, Indiranagar, Satpur and MIDC police stations on Saturday.The programme was organized at Mahesh Bhavan in the Ambad area, where people who had registered complaints about their stolen goods were invited to receive their recovered articles by the crime detection teams of the Ambad, Indiranagar, Satpur and MIDC police stations.The Ambad police returned articles worth over Rs93 lakh from 21 cases along with 40 missing Rs7.3 lakh. The Indiranagar police returned articles worth over Rs21 lakh from 10 cases, the Satpur police returned articles worth over Rs11 lakh from 14 cases and the MIDC police returned articles worth over Rs21 lakh from five cases.The ‘muddemal return’ programme was also an opportunity for the police to interact with the residents.
