One of the greatest ever names in the WWE universe, Steve Austin is reportedly in conversation with the company's bosses for an appearance.

The legendary ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin could be back flexing his muscles in a ring for the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Having last marked his presence in the WWE universe during WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, ‘Stone Cold’ could be back in time for the Austin 3:16 day, i.e., March 16 at the Monday Night Raw. With that famed date looming, WWE is planning for a brief appearance of Austin.

According to reports, WWE bosses are hoping for Austin to come back for an appearance after “conversations" between the two parties.

The date for Austin’s return could be the Monday Night Raw, where a huge crowd would be roaring for one of the greatest ever to feature in the WWE universe.

Steve Austin Set For 3:16 Return 

Unfortunately, the last time ‘Stone Cold’ arrived for the Austin 3:16 date, the world came to a halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the WWE had to host that Raw episode without fans as they were not allowed to gather in the stands at the WWE Performance Center.

That appearance was marked by Austin’s unique pairing with Becky Lynch and the two unleashing Stunners on different members of the Raw brand.

Austin, in his trademark style with a four-wheeler and drinking beers at WrestleMania 41, last entered a fight three years before that when he arrived for the 38th edition of WWE’s biggest PLE and won against Kevin Owens.

It is not yet known whether Austin’s upcoming appearance would have a match or it would be limited to celebrating his legacy.

As per reports, Austin will be the biggest name to feature at the WWE World Fan Convention ahead of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. He will be doing signings throughout the weekend at the convention.

Steve Austin’s Next Match? 

As storylines go in the WWE universe, an Austin versus CM Punk match remains one of the most elusive and exciting options on the WWE’s table. It would be a dream affair for the passionate fans of the WWE.

However, even a clash against Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Gunther, or even Cody Rhodes would be worth the while. Austin’s fan following hasn’t dimmed despite his sporadic appearances for the company in recent years.

WrestleMania 42 will remain a two-day affair this summer, also hosted at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19.
