The Iranian Navy has announced that the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy corridors, citing Israel’s refusal to leave Lebanon and the ongoing presence of US forces in the region, according to reports.

In a statement read over maritime radio channels, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) accused the United States of violating the memorandum of understanding between the two countries to end the war, which was electronically signed between US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday.
