Strong winds of 50 kmph lash city, IMD flags thunderstorm risk across state

Bhopal: The city witnessed strong winds of 50 kmph on Friday evening. Fresh spells of pre-monsoon showers were likely for Bhopal. The temperature remained above normal due to a break in rainfall activity this week.Day temperature in Bhopal on Friday was recorded at 39.4 degrees celsius, a degree more than the normal mark. The night temperature in the city was 29.0 degrees celsius, three degrees more than the normal mark.In the forecast for Bhopal on Saturday the meteorological dept stated, there would be partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunderstorm, lightning, light rain in evening and night hours. Day and night temperature will be respectively 39 degrees celsius and 28 degrees celsius while average wind speed will be 16 kmph.In the forecast for the state, the meteorological dept issued warning of thunderstorm and lightning, hailstorm and gusty winds for Datia, Bhind, Morena, Seoni, Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari dists.A warning of thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds (40-50 kmph) existed for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Sheopur, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Mandla, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Maihar and Pandhurna dists.

A possibility of rainfall or drizzle with thunderstorm and lightning was underlined for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Maihar, and Pandhurna dists.A dry weather would prevail over remaining places in the state. In the weather outlook the meteorological dept stated there would be a gradual fall in temperatures by two degrees to three degrees in next three days, thereafter no large change.
