Students of Avanthi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences take part in plantation drive to promote greenery

Students of Avanthi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences actively participated in a plantation drive held on Saturday as part of the Van Mahotsav–2025 celebrations at the college premises in Cherukupalli, Vizianagaram district.

College Principal K. Purna Nagasree and NSS Programme Officer T. Rushi Naidu said that all students enthusiastically took part in the initiative after being introduced to the theme: “Each One–Plant One: Greening the Future.”

Mr. Rushi encouraged students to grow plants at their homes, highlighting that plantation is a key measure to combat rising temperatures, which touched 42°C this summer. He also stated that medicinal saplings would be prioritised, helping pharmacy students better understand the role of plants in medicine preparation.
