The Golden State Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, recently made a shocking revelation about Kristaps Porzingis’ health diagnosis. However, it seems like the coach regrets breaking his silence on the issue.

Steve talked about the POTS rumors associated with Kristaps. He stated that the rumors were actually not true. Kristaps was simply sick and the reason behind the athlete's missing out on games was actually some other health condition. However, on February 28, ahead of the Warriors' clash against the Los Angeles Lakers, the coach chose not to speak about the diagnosis. When asked to confirm if the POTS rumors were actually not true, Steve believed that it was a “stupid mistake” for him to speak on the issue.

He is not qualified enough to talk about the diagnosis and would rather leave it to the professionals to talk about it.

Steve Kerr regrets discussing the POTS rumors associated with Kristaps Porzingis

During the pre-game conference ahead of the clash between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers, head coach Steve Kerr was exclusively asked about Kristaps Porzingis’ playing status. Responding to the query, Steve stated, “He won’t play today. He is sick and he will be out. We will see about it on Monday.

We are not sure yet.” This is the fourth straight game missed by the athlete. His last game was against the Boston Celtics.

When asked about what the athlete is dealing with, Steve decided not to speak about it. “I can’t really say anything. Just that it is a medical issue way beyond my capabilities of explaining anything. So yeah he is sick, he won’t play and we will keep monitoring him.” At this point, one of the reporters wanted to confirm what the head coach had stated about the POTS rumors on the radio previously.

Steve stated, “It was a stupid mistake by me to talk about something that I am not qualified to talk about.

I regret it even trying to discuss the diagnosis. That was my mistake. And I need to leave that to professionals.”

What did Steve Kerr state about Kristaps Porzingis’ POTS rumors?

In an appearance on Willard and Dubs, a Bay Area radio show, Steve Kerr made a shocking statement about Kristaps Porzingis’ health condition. He refuted the rumors of a POTS diagnosis and stated that Kristaps was just simply sick. Steve had apparently confirmed the information with the Atlanta Hawks GM, Onsi Saleh. He stated, “When I heard about the trade, I read about his POTS diagnosis and then called Onsi Saleh, who was with us, he’s now Atlanta’s GM and he’s a good friend of mine.

I called him and I said, ‘is this POTS story real?' And he said it’s actually not POTS. It was not POTS.' So that was some misinformation that was out there.”
