Actor Satya Dev is gearing up for the release of his upcoming psychological drama ‘Rao Bahadur’ directed by Venkatesh Maha. Recently ace filmmaker Sukumar watched a special preview of the film and shared his thoughts.
Sukumar says Indian cinema has not seen a film like this
As per a report by Cinema Express, the ‘Pushpa’ director said the film gave him a completely different experience. He called it a rare film that stands apart from others.He said, “Rao Bahadur is surreal cinema. I don’t think Indian cinema has seen a film like this before. It’s a magical and immersive experience that will surprise audiences.”He also praised Satya Dev's performance in the movie. Sukumar said the actor got a role that every performer would wish to play.
He added, “Every actor would be jealous of a role like this. Such opportunities rarely come to an artist. It's a wonderful gift from the entire team to Satya Dev.”
Sukumar talks about Venkatesh Maha
Sukumar appreciated director Venkatesh Maha for making a different kind of film. He said it is not easy to tell such a story without losing its emotion. He said, “Writing a story is one thing, but presenting it in such a surreal style without losing its soul is a huge achievement.
After eight years, Venkatesh Maha has created something truly remarkable.”
About ‘Rao Bahadur’
The film also includes Deepa Thomas as the female lead in the movie. This project marks the second collaboration between Venkatesh Maha and Satya Dev after Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya. The film also stars Vikas Muppala, Bala Parasar, Anand Bharathi, Pranay Vaka, and Master Kiran in important roles.The film is presented by
Mahesh Babu
and Namratha Shirodkar's GMB Entertainment. Kartik Parmar is handling the cinematography, while Smaran Sai is composing the music.The movie is set to hit the big screens on July 3, 2026.
