According to a Pinkvilla report, Anil Sharma and Sunny Deol have discussed a few new and original ideas for the last two years. As per the report, among these, both of them are excited about a "larger-than-life drama," which is set against the backdrop of the Coal Mafia.The source told the publication, "It’s titled 'Coal King' and features Sunny Deol in a never-before-seen avatar."

The report further stated that the script is ready and "it is all work in progress on the dialogue draft at the moment."

The report further stated that Anil Sharma is also working on 'Gadar 3', which will be a "big-scale period action film." The deal will be finalized by the end of this year. Not just that, reportedly, three scripts are in the works.

Sunny Deol is currently working with director Sidharth P. Malhotra for a Netflix movie. After that, he will be next seen in a film backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production house. Apart from that, he will also star as Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. The actor began shooting for the epic towards the end of 2025.
