Saying “It’s Jannik Sinner’s world, and we’re merely living in it," might sound like a cliche. But cliches exist for a reason — and the Italian is all the reason one needs.

The World No. 2 ace has become the first player in history to win not two, but three consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles without dropping a single set.

For context, that’s a level of dominance unseen — outdoing the likes of Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

A Historic Miami Triumph

The latest chapter came at the Miami Open, where Sinner defeated Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 6-4 in a rain-interrupted final.

THE MOMENT JANNIK SINNER WON THE SUNSHINE DOUBLE. 🥹First man in history to win it without dropping a set.

First man to win it since Roger Federer in 2017.

Only the 8th man to ever achieve it.

Sinner things are historic things.

With that win, the Italian also completed the coveted ‘Sunshine Double’  — adding Miami to his maiden Indian Wells Open title — becoming the first player since Federer in 2017 to achieve the feat.

He is now the eighth man in history to do so, with Djokovic and Federer having completed it multiple times.

How Sinner Set Himself Apart

Winning two Masters events without losing a set is rare. Doing it across three consecutive tournaments is unprecedented, quite literally.

Since the ATP Masters 1000 format began in 1990, no player had managed it… until now.

Sinner’s run stretches back to last season’s Paris Masters, meaning he has now compiled 34 consecutive sets won at the Masters level.

Consistency Meets Clarity

“It has been an incredible swing for me, and I’m extremely happy with the work we did to be in this position," Sinner said.

“We had some good practice days before Indian Wells, and seeing this kind of result makes me happy, as does the level we are trying to produce and the player we’re trying to achieve."

The 24-year-old has rebounded emphatically from a quarter-final exit at the Qatar Open, building a 19-2 record this season.

Now a seven-time Masters 1000 champion, Sinner still trails his arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP rankings by 1,190 points.
