Chris Pratt and his son, Jack, lit up the Super Bowl LX stage on Sunday in Santa Clara. The pair stepped onto the field to announce the Seattle Seahawks, which is Chris’s hometown team, right before kickoff, and honestly, it was one of the more memorable celebrity moments of the night.
It’s not every day fans get to catch a glimpse of one of their favorite Marvel stars, along with his kid, so it’s safe to say that fans enjoyed the moment fully. The energy in Levi’s Stadium just shot up a notch as Chris, wearing that classic “12” Seahawks jersey, grabbed the mic and yelled, “Your NFC champions, Seattle Seahawks!” Jack, in his own matching jersey, stood right beside him, fired up and ready to cheer.
What happened?
Talk about a wholesome father-and-son NFL moment! This whole ‘appearance’ thing felt bigger than just another celebrity cameo.
Chris Pratt is usually the guy cracking jokes in movies or hunting dinosaurs. So seeing him introduce the Seahawks, with Jack beaming next to him, gave fans a peek into something real: that mix of family and fandom. It wasn’t just about football; it was about sharing a moment that mattered.
Why the Seattle Seahawks?
Well, Chris’ Seahawks allegiance isn’t a newly forged trait , his loyalty runs deep. Pratt grew up in Lake Stevens, Washington, not far from Seattle, and he’s been part of the Seahawks “12s” since he was a kid.
Even with all his movie star fame, he’s kept that connection strong. He’s posted about the team for years: celebrating big wins, dragging Jack along to games, losing his voice during playoffs. A few days before the Super Bowl, he blasted out an all-caps message on X (formerly, Twitter): “WE’RE IN THE SUPER BOWL BABY!!!!!” He knew he’d be hoarse by the end.
In essence, this appearance with his son Jack is like a full circle moment for Chris himself.
Who is Chris Pratt?
Born in 1979 in Virginia, Minnesota, Chris Pratt started his work life as a waiter at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in Maui, which was a restaurant inspired by the classic film ‘Forrest Gump’. However, a chance ‘spotting’ and fate’s intervention later, he landed his first shot in Rae Dawn Chong’s short film ‘Cursed Part 3’. Although that didn’t see the light of day, Chris found his calling. ‘Parks and Recreation’ put him on the map, where he played Andy Dwyer—the lovable goofball—winning people over with his goofball charm.
Then came the big action roles: Star-Lord in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, Owen in ‘Jurassic World’ movies. And suddenly, he was everywhere. However, the recent NFL moment is a testament that being a dad is still at the heart of who Chris is. He shares Jack with his ex, Anna Faris, and he never misses a chance to say how proud he is of his son. Last August, he posted a birthday shout-out for Jack turning thirteen, saying how much he loves the young man his son’s becoming.Chris also has three younger kids—Lyla, Eloise, and Ford—with his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt.
