Alex Gonzalez turns Super Bowl LX into a marketing stunt
Santa Clara Police identified Gonzalez and charged him with misdemeanor trespassing and field intrusion after he entered the field during the fourth quarter.
He ran across the turf before security closed in and stopped him near the end zone, with Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams helping to block his path.TMZ Sports first reported the legal update later that night. As per the outlet, the Super Bowl LX action was halted after a fan went rogue and streaked the field during the fourth quarter at Levi’s Stadium. They further reported that he has been charged with two counts in connection with the incident.
Gonzalez had promotional messages written across his body, including “Trade with Athena,” his social handle “fxalexg,” and the phrase “Trade in the Blindspot.” Police said the slogans were directly linked to his online day-trading business, making the stunt a deliberate attempt to turn the Super Bowl into a marketing stage. This was not his first time running onto the field during the NFL’s biggest game. Gonzalez also streaked during Super Bowl LVIII, when the Kansas City Chiefs played the San Francisco 49ers, and he performed the stunt with Sebastian Riviera.
His history as a repeat offender led to stricter action this time. The game eventually resumed, and Seattle went on to defeat New England 29–13. Kenneth Walker III rushed for 135 yards on 27 carries and earned Super Bowl MVP, while Sam Darnold threw for 202 yards and a touchdown. Drake Maye struggled for the Patriots, throwing two interceptions and taking six sacks.Gonzalez later spoke during a live social media broadcast, admitting the act was intentional and tied to his personal goals. His attempt at attention may have worked online, but it now leaves him facing real legal consequences.
