Supplier held at Vasco in food delivery agent drug case

Panaji: The anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the Goa Police has made more arrests in the case of a food delivery agent caught selling narcotics. The ANC has detained the supplier from Jairamnagar, Vasco, tracing the source of the drug supply chain.The accused Aniket Muchandikar was a native of Belagavi, Karnataka, residing at Bogmalo, Goa. Police said Muchandikar distributed ganja among youth through small-time peddlers.Police said they found him in possession of 59.8 grams of ganja when he was detained. The ANC sleuths seized the contraband and also took his mobile phone into custody to ascertain further forward and backwards linkages.PSI Sunil Falkar led the operation under the supervision of PI Sajith Pillai, monitored by ANC DSP Nerlon Albuquerque and ANC SP Sunita Sawant.Earlier, the ANC had arrested a food delivery agent identified as Rahul Uppaldinni, 33, from Vasco during a late-night raid at Sancoale while attempting to supply ganja disguised as food delivery. Uppaldinni was caught in possession of ganja worth Rs 22,600, and his two-wheeler and mobile phone were seized. Such peddlers posing as delivery agents particularly target youth.
