Special emphasis has been placed on environment-friendly fabrics, recycled materials and energy efficient production processes. Garment manufacturers from all over the country, including Surat, are also displaying new types of sustainable fabrics and garments, keeping pace with this trend. The leaders said in one voice that the next era is coming with sustainable fabrics, so the industry will have to be ready for it and most importantly, if we want to increase garment exports abroad, then sustainable fabrics and their traceability become mandatory.
Exhibitors from Surat, which is considered the largest fabric manufacturing hub of the country, have attracted special attention from the audience and buyers with their innovation and quality. This Fabshow is becoming a golden opportunity especially for garment manufacturers, as they are directly connecting with retailers, brands and international buyers. On the first day itself, there was a significant crowd at the stalls of Surat, which shows that there is a strong demand for Surat fabrics and garments in the market. Many garment manufacturers have started getting orders on the spot, which is considered a positive sign for the industry.
According to Surat industrialists Vijay Mewawala and Bijal Jariwala, who arrived in Mumbai as exhibitors at the Fabshow, such exhibitions give a new direction to the garment sector of Surat. Especially for small and medium-sized manufacturers, this platform remains important for increasing brand visibility and entering new markets.
