Surbhi Chandna, the actress who won hearts after starring alongside Nakuul Mehta in ‘Ishqbaaz,’ opened up about her experience of being a part of a life-changing show. The 36-year-old revealed that she was initially hesitant to transform into the iconic Icchadhari Naagin character, but the COVID 19 played a significant role in changing the decision.
Surbhi Chandna recalls the experience
In a podcast interview with Rashami Desai, Chanda expressed that working with Ektaa Kapoor had been on her wish list. When she was offered the role for ‘Naagin 5,’ the actress had second thoughts before accepting. “I don’t fit the criteria. I told them that I am dying to work with Balaji, but give me some other show. Then, they asked me to think over it, and I requested some time,” she said as per News18, before adding, “They were supposed to start with an actor before me, then there’s this story of reincarnation, and then comes my role in the series as the Naagin, and that’s when I instantly got into action mode.
” Responding to her statement, Desai laughed and recalled the hilarious outcome after donning the much-famous role. “Kids come up to you and say, ‘Aunty, Naagin ban ke dikhao na,’” the host said.
