Suspension sought of KGBV principal in Annamayya district

The Andhra Pradesh Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (APMRPS) on Sunday (August 10) demanded the immediate suspension of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) principal at Veeraballi mandal of Annamayya district, Sai Divya, alleging that she used casteist remarks at Dalit students.

APMRPS State general secretary Peddapalli Shekhar and honorary president Bonamala Khadar Valli also alleged that the principal had been harassing social teacher Ramakrishnamma for questioning her treatment of the students.

The MRPS leaders also said Ms. Sai Divya had neither applied for the 2023 KGBV Principal recruitment nor featured in the 1:3 merit list or certificate verification list. The MRPS will meet Annamayya District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri to press the demand for her suspension and an inquiry into her recruitment. The matter would also be taken to the notice of Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh, the MRPS leaders said.
