T. J. Moore remains in hospital after suffering serious leg injury in Giants preseason win over Patriots (Image Via Google)
T. J. Moore, rookie cornerback of the New York Giants, is still in the hospital as a result of a serious right leg injury sustained in a preseason game against the New England Patriots.
Moore's injury occurred late in the game on Thursday night, August 21, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, when he recently returned a pick 6 on a 44-yard interception of the ball, when his leg turned angle unfortunately. Moore was carted off the field with his leg wrapped, and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Head coach Brian Daboll said this wasn’t good and confirmed Moore would have surgery today or tomorrow.

The injury sustained by T. J. Moore was a gruesome one. The Giants were battling the New England Patriots when the injury occurred. During the fourth quarter, Moore planted his leg awkwardly, causing his right leg to buckle and him to fall in pain.
Quarterbacks Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Jaxson Dart helped carry Moore to the cart as the trainers immobilized his leg in a vacuum splint. The sideline was dazed by the sight. Moore was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
On Friday, Coach Brian Daboll stated Moore is still in the hospital and is scheduled to undergo surgery "today or tomorrow." That signifies he will miss the beginning of the regular season and will most likely be on injured reserve in the upcoming days.
