Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged booth-level workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu to step up outreach among women voters, asking them to hold small, targeted meetings, and reassure them on safety and law and order ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
Addressing party senior office-bearers and workers through a virtual interaction, Mr. Modi said women’s concerns — particularly around safety, drug abuse, and access to welfare — must be addressed directly at the grassroots level. He called on cadre to organise dedicated meetings with women, form local groups, and engage them in door-to-door campaigns.
