T.N. govt. posts new officers to Intelligence Unit and Security Branch of State police

The State government appointed more new officers to its Intelligence Unit and Security Branch, a day after posting senior police officer Asra Garg as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Intelligence.

On Thursday, G. Dharmarajan, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Vellore, was posted as DIG, Intelligence (Security), while the present incumbent, R. Thirunavukkarasu, was transferred.

P. Cephas Kalyan has been posted as DIG, Intelligence (Internal Security), after being shifted from the post of Joint Commissioner of Police, Chennai City. Likewise, P. Saravanan has been posted as DIG, CID, Intelligence, Chennai, after being shifted from the post of DIG, Tirunelveli Range.

Garad Karun Uddhavarao, who was transferred from the post of Superintendent of Police (SP), Thiruvarur, has been posted as SP, Organised Crime Intelligence. A. Mayilvaganan, who was transferred from Tenkasi district, has been posted as SP-I, Special Branch CID, Chennai. C. Madhan, who was transferred from Thoothukudi district, has been posted as SP-I, Security Branch.

K. Shanmugam has been posted as SP-II, Special Branch CID, Chennai, after being shifted from Q-Branch CID, Chennai. G. S. Madhavan has been posted as SP-II, Security Branch CID, after being shifted from Metro Zone, Crime Branch.

N. Silambarasan has been posted as SP, Special Division, Special Branch CID, Chennai.

Cyber Crime Wing gets new chief

Senior IPS officer B. Bala Naga Devi has been posted as Director General of Police(DGP), Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai after being transferred from the post of DGP, Intelligence.
