NEW DELHI: Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus highlight-ed that his team wasn’t given adequate training time under lights ahead of their match against India on Thursday. “We haven’t been given any night training sessions before this game, I don’t know why.
I think India had two night training sessions and I see outside that Canada will have a night training now.
So make of that what you want, but we’ll just rock up and do our Namibian way, which is to fight,” Erasmus said on the eve of the game.

Namibia have been in Delhi from Feb 8. Their last game against Netherlands on Tues-day had an 11 am start while Canada play UAE on Friday from 3 pm. Namibia got the slot of training from 2 pm-5pm in the last two days.Erasmus pointed out that his team doesn’t have much experience of playing under lights due to limited infra-structure in Namibia. “We haven’t got any floodlights in Namibia or day/night games,” Erasmus said. “Infrastructure wise it’s probably the challenge for us. So, it’s not a casual thing for guys that don’t have the experience.”
