Tamil Nadu BJP functionary beaten to death by gang of men, accused on the run

A BJP district commerce wing member, Satheesh Kumar, was murdered in Tamil Nadu’s Sivagangai yesterday. Police said he was beaten to death by a gang of men.

According to officials, the incident was not political but stemmed from personal reasons. Both Kumar and the accused group were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the fight.

Police are interrogating more than five people in connection with the case. However, the main accused remain absconding. Sivagangai police said they expect to make arrests by today.
