Tamil Nadu Minister inaugurates healthcare facilities in Villupuram

Health Minister Ma. Subramanian on Wednesday inaugurated healthcare facilities set up at a cost of ₹4..07 crore in Villupuram, Kottakuppam and other places in the district.

The Minister inaugurated the pay ward constructed at a cost of ₹48 lakh at the Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital. He also inaugurated the Emergency Care and Recovery Centre established at a cost of ₹11.10 lakh at the hospital, digital X-ray facility and new buildings for primary health centres at Kedar and Kottakuppam.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the construction was currently under way for 100-bedded Critical Care Unit and additional infrastructure facilities at the hospital.

The construction of the District Headquarters Hospital in Tindivanam at ₹69 crore and Maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at ₹6.89 crore had been completed. The buildings would be inaugurated soon, he said.

Villupuram Collector Sheik Abdul Rahman and senior officials were present on the occasion.
