Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has fans and the media on wedding watch as the weekend approaches. Reports of the singer, reportedly gearing up to wed her NFL fiance this weekend, gained momentum after trucks carrying equipment labelled "Garden Party 1 (Scenic)" were spotted arriving at Madison Square Garden in New York City ahead of the rumoured celebrations.A video shared by CBS News showed crews unloading large, covered pieces of equipment outside the iconic venue. The broadcaster captioned the clip, "Crews unloaded trucks filled with large, covered equipment at Madison Square Garden on Monday, where labels reading 'Garden Party 1 (scenic)' and spray-painted 'GP' fueled speculation amid rumors surrounding a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding at the arena."
The video prompted fans to speculate that the equipment could be connected to the couple's wedding theme.
Sone suggested that it could also mean that the wedding could have a possible connection to Kelce's fairytale proposal to Swift. According to previous reports, the Kansas City Chiefs star transformed his backyard into a dreamy flower garden before proposing to the singer. The elaborate setup reportedly featured more than 2,000 flowers, around 1,200 roses and nearly 800 pounds of greenery, with a 20-foot domed arboretum wrapped in vines and roses, alongside lilies, ivy, candles, peonies, ferns, river rocks and decorative boulders.
Adding to the speculation, CBS News reported that permits have been filed for a July 3 event at Madison Square Garden and road closures. The report stated, "Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could be tying the knot at Madison Square Garden after permits were filed for a July 3 event hosting up to 999 guests. Officials confirmed to CBS News that event permits have been submitted, but neither Madison Square Garden nor the couple has confirmed any wedding plans.
"While all arrows seem to point to the MSG venue, Taylor's guests have insisted that they do not know the location of the wedding, further increasing the mystery around the hush-hush wedding.Amid wedding buzz, other reports suggest that the props and backdrops arriving at the location with the "Garden Party" labels may instead be for a Bon Jovi residency scheduled for next week.Meanwhile, Page Six reported that Swift is said to have multiple wedding gowns prepared by the team at Monse, the New York fashion label founded by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia.
The designers previously dressed Swift for Selena Gomez's wedding. The report also claimed that designs by Stella McCartney are being considered, with the British designer reportedly expected to attend the wedding.Taylor, who was spotted restaurant-hopping, has also reportedly curated a special menu for the wedding, including some of her favourite restaurants. There is also buzz about the couple asking their guests to sign an NDA, however, the reports have not been confirmed.Despite the growing buzz, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed their wedding plans, and Madison Square Garden has not announced that the venue will host the couple's ceremony.
