PUNE: A bridge of friendship should be built between teachers and students by eliminating the distance between them, said Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar. He was speaking at a felicitation ceremony held in Nigdi to honor the B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and MBA graduates of JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Tathawade, a statement issued by the college said.Ahuja further stated in the statement, “Wherever you go in the world, strive to become a job creator and an entrepreneur rather than just an employee. India is globally recognized as a young nation, with a significant proportion of its population in the 30–35 age group. As we move toward becoming a developed nation, the youth will play a pivotal role in this transformation. In this journey, we must also aim to build a corruption-free India.
”Also present at the event were Prasad Shastri and Ashish Shah – Regional Heads for Pune, Nashik, and Goa at TCS, Ravi Joshi, President of JSPM University, Anil Bhosale, Director, S. P. Bhosale, Director of RSCOE, Avinash Badhe, Deputy Director, Ravi Sawant – Chairman of JMCC Bank, Rajkuwar Dubal – Dean of Student Relations and Activities; and B. D. Jadhav – Controller of Examinations, RSCOE.
Shastri highlighted that engineering students should apply their intellect wisely and always think with an engineering mindset.
Ravi Joshi expressed his gratitude to the parents and students for placing their trust in the institution. Santosh Bhosale spoke about RSCOE’s successful journey so far and its future vision, the statement added.During the ceremony, approximately 1,187 students were conferred degrees and certificates. The student who secured the first rank in the university examinations was awarded a cash prize of Rs one lakh, a gold medal, and a citation.
The Best Overall Student was also honored with a Rs one lakh cash prize, a gold medal, and a citation.Students Bhargavi Bhende and Sushma Tare were felicitated as the Academic Topper and the Best Student, respectively.Rajkuwar Dubal shared that the college has now completed three years as an autonomous institute and expressed his delight in celebrating the third annual felicitation ceremony.The event was anchored by Kushal Lodha and Rashmi Deshpande. B. D. Jadhav proposed the vote of thanks.
