RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav addresses a gathering in Khagaria on Thursday
Begusarai:RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday called upon people to prepare to dethrone the NDA govt in the upcoming assembly elections, accusing it of presiding over corruption, unemployment and lawlessness.“Unemployment, migration, corruption and poor law and order mark the current situation of the state. The situation demands change. Get rid of the rotten NDA govt in the upcoming assembly elections,” he said.Tejashwi, who was in Begusarai on Wednesday and Thursday as part of his Bihar Adhikar Yatra, told a public meeting in Sahebpurkamal that people were exhausted by rampant corruption in govt offices and police stations.“The massive turnout at my meetings indicate people want change and get free of the current NDA govt which seems to have institutionalised corruption. If voted to power the RJD-led govt will remain committed to providing quality education and health facilities besides employment to youths of the state. The poor law and order under the current govt has made women vulnerable to crime. If voted to power the mahagathbandhan will ensure that the dignity and pride of women are restored,” he said.
Meanwhile, Union minister and Begusarai MP Giriraj Singh ridiculed Tejashwi’s Bihar Adhikar Yatra. He claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had won credit for the recent Voter Adhikar Yatra in the state despite limited political backing.“Tejashwi feels cheated and his current yatra is only a bid to confirm the political one-upmanship in Mahagathbandhan in the state,” he said.
