The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested deputy tahsildar Shaik Javeed who allegedly demanded a bribe. He was working on deputation in Civil Supplies department, Miryalguda, under the District Civil Supplies Officer (DCSO), Nalgonda.
The ACB said that the bribe amount, initially ̥₹1 lakh, was later reduced to ₹70,000 following the complainant’s request. The bribe was sought in exchange for conducting a Panchanama report of three seized vehicles, which was necessary to obtain vehicle release orders from the Joint Collector Court.
Following the complaint and preliminary investigation, the ACB booked a case. The accused official was arrested and produced before the special court for SPE and ACB cases in Nampally, Hyderabad. The investigation is currently ongoing.
