Telangana BJP chief N Ramchander Rao
Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao has written to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy seeking an appointment with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to submit a representation on the alleged non-implementation of the Congress party's election promises in the state.
In his letter, Ramchander Rao said several key assurances made by the Congress before the Telangana Assembly elections remain unfulfilled despite the government being in office for more than two-and-a-half years. He specifically referred to promises concerning women, farmers, students, unemployed youth and senior citizens.
The BJP leader alleged that the delay in implementing the poll guarantees has led to growing public dissatisfaction. He said the concerns of the people should be brought directly to Rahul Gandhi's attention.
Ramchander Rao urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to facilitate a meeting with the Congress leader so that a detailed representation on the issue could be submitted. He maintained that the pending implementation of the election promises has become a matter of concern for several sections of society and sought the Chief Minister's intervention in arranging the appointment.
