Telangana gears up for Fire Service Week with focus on schools and hospitals

Fire drills in hospitals and schools, large-scale public demonstrations in crowded spaces, a State-wide run to boost participation, and focused inspections of high-risk buildings will form the backbone of Fire Service Week 2026 in Telangana. The week-long campaign, running from April 14 to 20, will combine remembrance with hands-on training and public outreach, as authorities seek to turn fire safety awareness into everyday practice.

The theme - Safe School, Safe Hospital and Fire Safety Aware Society – Together for Fire Prevention – marks a shift from reactive firefighting to proactive risk reduction in vulnerable spaces where emergencies can quickly spiral into disasters.
