Police said Sandhya was allegedly in an illicit relationship with a man named Anil (35), and both are believed to have conspired to eliminate Prasanth.

A man in Telangana’s Nizamabad district, who had survived a fall, was later allegedly killed by his wife, a nurse, who injected toilet cleaner into him while he was undergoing medical treatment, police said on Monday.

The case has led to the arrest of three people, including the woman and her alleged lover.

According to police, Prasanth (35), who worked in a Gulf country, died under suspicious circumstances on June 30. His mother lodged a complaint on July 1, saying she was unaware of his recent visit home and raised doubts over the role of his wife, Sandhya (32).

How The Murder Was Executed?

Police said Sandhya was allegedly in an illicit relationship with a man named Anil (35), and both are believed to have conspired to eliminate Prasanth, whom they considered an obstacle to their relationship. They allegedly enlisted the help of another man, Venkata Sai, to carry out the initial attack.

As per the plan, Sai reportedly made Prasanth consume alcohol on June 29 and then took him to the terrace of a building, where he pushed him after instructions from Sandhya over the phone. Though seriously injured, Prasanth survived the fall and was taken for medical treatment.

Police said Sandhya and Sai moved him between hospitals before bringing him home. Later, under instructions from Anil, Sandhya allegedly injected toilet cleaner and an anaesthesia drug into Prasanth through a cannula while he was still receiving treatment. She also pushed him from the cot, which led to his death, the police said.

The police added that the accused later confessed during questioning. All three were arrested and produced before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
