Launching a blistering attack on the Congress government celebrating its second anniversary, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao alleged that Telangana has been handed over to land mafias, turning into “CM and Brothers” model compared to the previous BRS government’s “CM and Son” model.

“People see the government as one of commissions and contractors. Ordinary citizens have gained nothing under this regime. How can it be ‘Telangana Rising’ under such circumstances? It is ‘Telangana Sinking’, he remarked at a protest demonstration against the government’s “failures and non-implementation of promises”, organised at Indira Park on Sunday.

Mr. Rao, flanked by senior leaders including Union Minister for Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy, Rajya Sabha member K. Laxman, MP D.K. Aruna, and Legislature Party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy, accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of ‘complete failure’. Despite holding key departments like education, law, and home, education and law and order are at zero, as is public safety, he charged.

He further alleged that while the Modi government is eliminating Naxalism nationwide and moving towards a Naxal-free India, the Congress government is “sheltering and nurturing urban Naxals”. He vowed that such forces will be completely eliminated when the BJP comes to power.

Strongly opposing the Hyderabad Industrial Land Transfer Policy (HILPT), which he claimed opens “doors to corruption”, Mr. Rao said, “If BRS government committed a grave mistake by selling large parcels of industrial land to private individuals, the current government is handing them over to real estate lobbies”.

He said people are asking about the six guarantees and 420 promises made during the elections and why not even a single guarantee implemented. The former MLC also accused the Congress Party of indulging in communal politics and hurting the sentiments of crores of Hindus while sheltering “anti-national forces”.

The former MLC highlighted the Centre’s contributions, including expansion of national highways, AIIMS Bibinagar, Vande Bharat trains, a Tribal University, revival of the Ramagundam fertilizer factory, development of the aerospace sector, and free rice for the poor.

Mr. Rao said people gave BRS a VRS for not doing any work but constantly blaming the Centre and the Congress Government is following the same path. Hence, in the coming days, people will reject the Congress Party as well. In an oblique reference to the absence of many MPs, the party chief asserted: “This is Team BJP working with collective leadership, not Ramchander’s team”.

Earlier, Mr. Kishan Reddy challenged the CM for a public debate on the implementation of promises at Indira Park, Press Club, or Praja Bhavan. “With what face is the CM celebrating two years of rule?,” he questioned.
