In a heart-breaking incident from Papannapet in Medak district in Telangana, a 17-year-old student died by suicide while anxiously waiting for her Class 10 results, fearing she might fail. Tragically, when the results were declared, she had passed with an impressive score of 480 marks.

The incident has left the family and local community in deep shock, highlighting how fear and exam pressure can lead to irreversible decisions.

According to reports, the girl had appeared for her Class 10 examinations but was worried that she had not performed well. The fear of failure and uncertainty about her future began to weigh heavily on her. Unable to share her anxiety with anyone, she reportedly struggled alone with growing distress.

On April 24, when no one was at home, she took the extreme step.

Days later, when the results were announced, her family discovered that she had not only passed but had done well. The contrast between her fears and reality has made the tragedy even more painful.

Her grieving family has been left devastated, struggling to come to terms with the loss.

The Telangana State Secondary School Certificate (TS SSC) Result 2026 were declared on April 29, with the average pass percentage being 95.15%, marking an improvement from 92.78% in 2025. The results were officially announced by state minister K Keshava Rao at SCERT Campus, Hyderabad.
