Bengaluru police detained 10 individuals for allegedly engaging in a public brawl on August 28 night at Siddapura.

The clash took place around 11 p.m. near Kaveramma Colony in Siddapura. Two groups, led by Sandeep and Vijay, reportedly fought over an incident involving a minor boy.

According to police, the trouble began on August 27 when a minor boy riding a two-wheeler hit a woman at Kaveramma Layout. The woman’s son allegedly assaulted the boy, which angered the boy’s friends.

“On August 28, during a wedding ceremony in the colony, the matter was brought up again. A discussion quickly escalated into a heated argument, eventually resulting in a fight between the two groups,” an officer told The Hindu.

Police said the youths, all aged between 20 and 25, have been booked for public nuisance.
