Terror module case: MP ATS secures custody of Izhar-ul-Haq; two others sent to jail

Bhopal/Jabalpur: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Madhya Pradesh Police produced Izhar-ul-Haq, arrested from Bihar in connection with alleged anti-national activities, before the district court in Bhopal on Saturday.The court of Sessions Judge Jayant Sharma remanded Haq to ATS custody till Monday (June 22) for further interrogation.Two other accused, Naeem Abdulla (who was arrested from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh) and Shakir Mev (apprehended from Alwar in Rajasthan) were sent to judicial custody for 14 days after the expiry of their police remand.All three accused were produced before the court amid tight security arrangements.According to officials, the ATS has so far arrested four persons in the case. The first arrest was made in Bhopal when Mohd Siraz alias Khalid Saifullah was taken into custody. Subsequently, Naeem Abdullah, Shakir Mev and Izhar-ul-Haq were arrested from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar respectively.
