TET results declared, over 50k qualify

Hyderabad: As many as 50,554, including 8,809 in-service teachers have qualified in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), results of which were released on Monday. The qualifying percentage stood at 43.9%.A total of 1.15 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, which was conducted between June 16 and 22. While 36,129 appeared for paper 1 (languages), 65.2% of them qualified. Similarly, 44,128 and 34,771 candidates appeared for paper 2 (maths) and paper 3 (social) respectively, with 40.7% and 25.8% of them qualifying in these papers.Among districts, Jayashankar Bhupalpally stood first by securing a qualifying percentage of 76.9%, followed by Mancherial with 76.4%, and Suryapet with 74.6% in paper 1.When it came to paper 2, Mancherial stood at 46% and in paper 3, Bhadradri Kothagudem topped with 31.4%.
