Radhikaa Sarathkumar's rural comedy-drama 'Thaai Kizhavi' is a box office hit, surpassing expectations with over Rs 59.85 crore in India and Rs 70 crore worldwide. The film, praised for its wholesome family entertainment and Radhikaa's performance, has already recouped its modest budget. Audiences are lauding its hilarious first half and emotional second half, offering life lessons.

Radhikaa Sarathkumar starrer Tamil rural comedy drama, ‘Thaai Kizhavi’, was released on the silver screen on February 27. The film has held a tight grip among the masses as it has been performing well in the theatres.

Additionally, it had a strategic release date without clashing with any big films. Latest reports suggest the film has completed over Rs 59.85 crore in India.According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film in its first week made over Rs 23.25 crore, already passing its reported modest budget of Rs 9 to 10 crore in the first three days itself. Later, in the second week, it collected over Rs 19.45 crore, which brought the total of the two weeks to over Rs 42.7 crore.After a two-week-long run, the movie is still enjoying good numbers, with day 15 making over Rs 1.65 crore, day 16 adding Rs 3.10 crore, and day 17 with Rs 3.30 crore during the weekend. Now, with the weekdays, the numbers plummeted and made Rs 56 lakh on day 18, Monday. This brings the total Indian net collection to Rs 59.85 crore and the worldwide collection to over Rs 70 crore.

Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, the film has received a good response from the viewers. Sharing their take on the film, netizens have called it a “wholesome” family entertainer.
