In Greater Noida's Dhoom Manikpur area, a Thar driver allegedly fled without paying for fuel, rammed a pursuing motorcycle and dragged it 10 kilometres before being arrested by police.

Thar driver arrested after dragging bike 10 km in Greater Noida
A speeding Thar SUV allegedly dragged a motorcycle for nearly 10 kilometres after hitting it during a dramatic chase in Greater Noida's Dhoom Manikpur area, police said.
The incident occurred after the Thar driver reportedly fled a petrol pump without paying for fuel. According to police, the driver filled fuel at a petrol pump in Dhoom Manikpur and sped away without making payment.
Petrol pump employees chased the vehicle on a motorcycle. During the pursuit, the Thar driver allegedly rammed into the motorcycle. The rider fell and sustained injuries.
After the collision, the motorcycle got stuck underneath the Thar. Instead of stopping, the driver continued driving, dragging the motorcycle for around 10 kilometres. During this time, the motorcycle caught fire while being dragged on the road.
Despite people shouting and attempting to alert the driver, he did not stop, eyewitnesses said. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras.
Police from Badalpur Dadri Kot and Jarcha stations pursued the Thar for about 10 kilometres before finally intercepting the vehicle.
The driver was taken into custody, and the Thar was seized. The accused has been identified as 22-year-old Harsh, a resident of Bulandshahr.
Badalpur police have launched an investigation into the incident.
