The Great Indian Kapil Show: Sanjay Kapoor reveals how daughter Shanaya received a special birthday surprise from Sidharth Malhotra

The Great Indian Kapil Show is currently entertaining its audience with its much-loved third season, and each episode promises a mix of laughter, fun, and celebrity stories. The latest episode welcomed the stars of Param Sundari, with Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor entering Kapil’s stage. Janhvi and Sidharth were also joined by co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and child actor Inayat Verma for a lively evening.Param Sundari, a film by Tushar Jalota, is a romantic movie that tells the story of Sundari, played by Janhvi Kapoor, a girl from Kerala who falls in love with Param Sachdev, a Delhi boy played by Sidharth Malhotra. The film explores their love story through cultural differences that challenge their relationship.The episode also saw Kapil Sharma teasing Sidharth about his effortless on-screen romance post-marriage, and Janhvi Kapoor being put on the spot with Kapil’s trademark charm.One of the highlights came when Sanjay Kapoor shared a story about his daughter Shanaya Kapoor’s crush on Sidharth during his early Student of the Year days. Sanjay revealed that for her 13th birthday, Karan Johar surprised Shanaya by sending Sidharth to their house at midnight. Interestingly, Sidharth thought it was Sanjay’s birthday, only to later realise it was Shanaya’s special day. Sanjay added with a laugh that although both Sidharth and Varun Dhawan were supposed to go, Varun cheekily backed out, saying Shanaya was Sidharth’s fan and not his—making the audience laugh out loud.

The episode also featured a fun round of truth and dare where Janhvi Kapoor mimicked her father Boney Kapoor, while Sidharth Malhotra impressed the audience with his push-ups. Sanjay Kapoor too joined in the fun with a belly dance performance.Another special moment came when a super fan, Asma Mohammad Rafi, travelled all the way from Oman just to be part of the show. She praised The Great Indian Kapil Show for being popular internationally and even performed a song for the Param Sundari cast and the audience.The on-screen duo was also joined by Sunil Grover as the infamous Bansuri, and Dr Sanket Bhosale and Kiku Sharda as Munna Bhai and Circuit on stage.The current season of The Great Indian Kapil Show has featured a wide variety of guests from both Bollywood and the world of sports, including Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Sara Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Rishabh Pant, Vijay Varma, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Jaideep Ahlawat, among others.
