Government officials, academicians, and industry leaders will come together at the The Hindu Group’s Tech Summit 2026 on February 12 and 13 to deliberate on various issues at the intersection of technology and governance, building resilience in industry, and the challenges and opportunities from Artificial Intelligence.
Titled ‘Continuity Unbroken: Building the Architecture of Resilience in a Connected World’, the summit’s first day will focus on enterprise resilience and governance with key features being data privacy in biometric platforms, technology-led disaster recovery, evolution of next-generation governance and compliance frameworks, and cyber resilience in an AI-driven world. The second day will examine topics like AI-first digital transformation, integrated data security management, state perspectives on technology-driven economic growth, and the development of industry-ready talent for an AI-driven future.
The event will be inaugurated by G. Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor, Vellore Institute of Technology, while Raju Vegesna, Chairman and Managing Director, Sify Technologies, will deliver the keynote address.
Industry leaders, policymakers, technology architects, and academicians will engage in conversations, panel discussions, and strategic dialogues exploring resilience not merely as risk mitigation but as a structural capability embedded within organisational DNA.
Dr. Viswanathan said that India had long excelled in theoretical knowledge but had often fallen short in practical knowledge. “A leading model we can draw inspiration from is Germany,” he said, adding that, in Germany, candidates seeking to teach in universities of applied sciences are required to have at least five years of professional experience. Stating that VIT was one of the first institutions to have mandated that a part of every course was to be delivered by industry experts, Dr. Viswanathan pointed out that the institution had ensured that industry professionals and senior leaders actively participated at various levels, including the Academic Council and the curriculum design committee.
The summit is supported by Skylar Information Technologies, KBR, Tally, and Virtusa as associate partners; G Square as realty partner; CIO as knowledge partner; MMA as industry partner: Startup Singam as ecosystem partner; Nexus as gift partner; and the Government of Karnataka as State partner.
The event will be live streamed on https://newsth.live/THTSYT1.
