It was a night of milestones and momentum for the Los Angeles Lakers, as LeBron James and Luka Doncic combined to power a 127-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While Doncic dominated the scoreboard, it was LeBron who etched his name deeper into the history books.
LeBron Sets All-Time Wins Record
James recorded his 1,229th career win (regular season and playoffs combined), surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most victories in NBA history.
The four-time champion contributed 14 points, five rebounds, and six assists against his former team, the Cavaliers, where he spent 11 seasons across two stints.
Already the league’s all-time leading scorer, LeBron also recently became the NBA’s all-time leader in games played.
Luka Delivers Another Masterclass
If LeBron owned the milestone, Luka owned the night.
Returning from a one-game suspension, the Slovenian star poured in 42 points along with 12 assists — a performance that saw him break a long-standing franchise mark set by Kobe Bryant.
Doncic surpassed Bryant’s 20-year-old record for most points scored by a Laker in a single calendar month, finishing with over 600 points, eclipsing Bryant’s previous mark of 578 set back in 2006.
Luka also crossed 15,000 points, becoming the third-fastest to reach that milestone in NBA history — only outdone by Kevin Durant and… LeBron James, of course.
Lakers Hit Peak Form
The win capped another dominant stretch for the Lakers, who have now won 13 of their last 14 games. Earlier in the night, they also secured a playoff berth and clinched the Pacific Division title after the Phoenix Suns lost.
At 50-26, Los Angeles currently sits third in the Western Conference, holding a two-game cushion over the Denver Nuggets.
