On September 14, Netflix unveiled the first-ever teaser for the upcoming season of ‘The Witcher’. This marks a new era for the show, as Liam Hemsworth takes over the lead role. Stunning visuals with a leather jacket, long white hair, and sword-wielding skills of a pro, Hemsworth takes on the role of Geralt of Rivia.In the teaser, the character can be seen standing in front of a tomb calling forth the spirit that lies beneath.

As it uncovers itself, the two fight in an almost-defeating battle until Geralt of Rivia finally takes control. Not only that, but the show’s official drop date was also announced, leaving fans buzzing with excitement. The latest season of ‘The Witcher’ will hit the popular OTT platform on October 30.

The new season’s official description reads, “After the Continent-altering events of Season Three, Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies.

As their paths diverge and their goals sharpen, they stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good.

”Directors Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, Tricia Brock, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Jeremy Webb have joined to take the lead for the new season, while it will still follow the eight-episode pattern from its predecessors. It was also shared earlier that the show will officially take a bow after the release of the fifth season, making the upcoming one even more special. As Cavill stepped down from the role, Hemsworth took the reigns, and even issued a statement about the same. He shared, “Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure”.
