Thousands witness Uttararadhana rituals at Mantralayam

Uttararadhana was performed in a grand manner as part of the 354th Aradhana Mahotsav of Sri Raghavendra Swamy at Mantralayam in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

Peethadhipathi of the math Sri Subhudhendra Tirtha offered a new Vajra Kavacha to Sri Raghavendra Swami.

As per the tradition of the math, Utsava Murthy of Sri Prahlad Raja was taken to Sri Gurusarvabhouma Vidyapeetha.

Upon its returning, Vasantotsavam was organised and special pujas were offered before Sri Subudhendra Tirtha performed Rathanga Puja and gave a ceremonious start to the Maha Rathotsavam. Flowers were also showered from a helicopter over the Maharatham.

Several thousands of devotees from across the State and various parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu witnessed the event.
