Three AEROs, five supervisors given show cause notices for poor performance in SIR

District Election Officer and Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, R.V. Karnan issued show cause notices to the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of three constituencies, expressing serious concern over the poor performance with regard to the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls.

The AEROs of Sanathnagar, Musheerabad, and Secunderabad received the notices as the progress in their constituencies was unsatisfactory and significantly below the expected standards.

The DEO also issues showcause notices to five supervisors of the Yakutpura, Musheerabad, Malakpet and Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituencies and conveyed a stern warning to all low performing officers to improve their performance immediately.

During a comprehensive review meeting on the progress of the SIR process, Mr.Karnan directed all EROs to closely monitor the digitisation process, ensure accuracy and timely completion of all pending work, and maintain daily progress. He reiterated that any negligence or delay in the SIR process will be viewed seriously and appropriate action will be initiated against the responsible officials.

The meeting focused on the status of data digitisation, timely completion of Enumeration Forms, and adherence to the Election Commission’s prescribed schedule, a statement informed.
